Fukuoka Art Book Fair

at Dazaifu Tenmangu

14 - 16 June 2024

Thanks for visiting us!

Pages | Fukuoka Art Book Fair will open its doors from June 14th (Fri.) ~ 16th (Sun.) for the first time.
Domestic and international publishers, galleries, designers, and artists producing art books and zines will gather to deliver the charm of artbooks. With more exhibitions, events, and workshops, we invite you to find new talent and artbooks!

As the pioneer of the art/culture scene in Fukuoka, ON AIR will be using Yokoden’s stage to the fullest with live streams on (((RADIO COCONUT))) from its special booth while also selling their original visual books and a selection of publications from in and out of Japan. In addition, reading rooms will be set in both venues as a place to learn, reflect on, and talk about the community agreement that Pages upholds. Within a space composed of furniture created by Sugikojo based in Ukiha, enjoy the art publications, books, and magazines selected by researcher of aesthetics, Yuzu Murakami and owner of MINOU BOOKS, Isao Ishii.
At & DICE & DICE supported by TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance’s special booth, ZINES with new photographs of the Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine will be distributed for free along with the latest issue of the free magazine NOT FAR. Another exhibition will also connect the book fair venue and Dice&Dice, the speciality store in Fukuoka. In the same Bunshokan, you will be able to experience a special fragrance intertwined with artbooks and words related to “rain” with THREE’s fragrance installation using their brand new scent to be released in June, “AFTER THE RAIN,” from their plant-based Essential Scents series constructed solely of essential oils.

The ZINE workshop with photographer, Kotori Kawashima and illustrator, Tomoe Miyazaki (STOMACHACHE.); talk events by Iro, organizer of the art book fair in Seoul, and by photographer, Ayaka Endo; letterpress and silkscreen tryout booths – All events that dive deep into the beauty of artbooks will be waiting for you at the fair!

SHENANIGANS (((PAGES OPENING PARTY))) will be held on June 14th (Fri.) at manucoffee roasters KUJIRA in Yakuin, Fukuoka. Programs fit for a party are planned! More details to come.

In partnership with bookstores, galleries, shops, and restaurants from Fukuoka and its surroundings, this is a program which introduces not only artbooks, but also local art, culture, fashion, music, and food scenes. On our official website and Instagram account, we will be announcing details of our FRIENDS facilities as well as exhibitions and events taking place during Pages.
