Pages | Fukuoka Art Book Fair 2026

The third edition of Pages | Fukuoka Art Book Fair will be held over three days, from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.

Around 100 publishers, artists, and designers engaged in independent publishing practices will gather from Japan and abroad. Through art books, the fair aims to create a space where encounters and conversations can unfold, fostering the continued growth of art publishing culture and diverse communities.

This year’s program features “BOOK?”, an exhibition by the Singapore-based design unit Atelier HOKO that reexamines what it means to read a book. It also includes the “BookBook Reading Room by Common Imprint,” showcasing art books and zines donated by independent publishers across Asia who participated in the 2025 BookBook Festival (Seoul), along with a range of talks, workshops, radio program and live performances.

We will also present “Friends,” a program developed in collaboration with bookstores, galleries, shops, and restaurants in Fukuoka. We hope this initiative offers visitors an opportunity to experience not only art books, but also the richness of local art, culture, music, and food.

We hope that the small conversations sparked by opening a book will continue to expand into new cultures and communities.
