Chris Romero, (aka Romero Item), is an artist from New York living in Fukuoka since 2019. He creates paintings, illustrations, and zines. His artwork is bright and colorful featuring humorous characters and commentary on everyday life. His character designs have been featured locally through the television program Zontaaku: Odori no Hoshii for NHK Fukuoka and through a series of murals for NPO Haruyoshi.
